Become a Paddle marketplace publisher
Want to build an app for Paddle users to install? Apply to become a marketplace publisher and we'll share more about the program.
Apps connect third-party tools to your Paddle account using OAuth. Once an app is connected, it can work with your Paddle data on your behalf, using a set of permissions that you approve. You install and manage apps from Paddle > Connectors > Apps.
If you're implementing Paddle in your stack as your merchant of record, you should use API keys. OAuth is for building apps that other Paddle users can install.
How it works
When you install an app, it connects to your Paddle account with its own credentials and only the access it needs.
- Apps connect using OAuth, rather than API keys, which guides you through the process of connecting your app to Paddle.
- Each app you install gets its own credentials, scoped to your account.
- Apps only get the permissions they request and you approve.
- You can review what an app can access, and revoke that access, at any time.
A marketplace where you can discover and install apps is coming soon.
Manage connected apps
Go to Paddle > Connectors > Apps to see the apps connected to your account. From here, you can:
- Review the permissions each app has.
- Open an app to see what it does.
- Revoke an app's access when you no longer use it.
